Meet the Sasso Guerrero & Henderlite Team
PAULINO ESTEVEZ
Paulino Estevez joined the Sasso & Guerrero family in April 2021. As a Tampa native, he moved to Jacksonville in 2015 to begin a new chapter in his life. Upon living here, he attended the University of North Florida and obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies and Spanish. As a native Spanish speaker, his goal in life has always been to follow the footsteps of his parents in helping the community. Thanks to a little help from others, a little bit of kismet, and a little bit of “right place, right time,” he is happily embarking down his path in the field of family law. His initial position at Sasso & Guerrero was the firm’s receptionist/intake coordinator, but he was quickly promoted to operations manager, a position in which he thrived. With the growth of the firm to Sasso Guerrero & Henderlite, he has undertaken the new role of Finance Administrator, helping to support the financial side of operations at the firm. In his spare time, Paulino enjoys going out for hikes with his family, enjoying the local gastronomy Jacksonville has to offer, and cracking the “best” dad jokes.
JOSH WALLER
Josh Waller is our firm administrator, having worked in a family law firm since 2002 (except for the time he joined Royal Flush, the resident acapella group on the Queen Mary II, shortly after its maiden voyage).
A Jacksonville native born and raised in Riverside, Josh is pleased to call Jacksonville his home. He is a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School (Class of ’98) and attended Jacksonville University on an academic scholarship, studying Music Theatre and French. He is a proud Jaguar season ticket holder and an award-winning member of the local theatre community.
Josh has performed on almost every stage in Jacksonville. He has received acclaim for many of his roles and has been named Best Actor of the Year several times at Theatre Jacksonville and Players by the Sea. He is also a co-founder of one of Jacksonville’s newest theatre companies, the 5 & Dime.
CARI BARKSDALE
Cari graduated from Santa Fe College in Gainesville, Florida in 2011 with her Associate of Applied Science Degree in Legal Assisting. She began working in the legal field during her studies in college at a personal injury firm in Gainesville, Florida. Prior to her employment with Sasso & Guerrero, she worked in the field of family law for over eight years, starting as a receptionist and moving up to the position of paralegal. Born and raised in Florida, Cari is a lover of all things outdoors including hiking, gardening and kayaking. Cari also is the proud mother of an 11-year-old son named Kahlil.
COURTNEY GILBREATH
Courtney Gilbreath is a Jacksonville native. She graduated from Bishop Kenny High School and attended the University of Florida and the University of North Florida, earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She joined the firm in 2008, after working in early childhood education and the financial sector for a number of years. She then returned to school at Florida State College at Jacksonville to complete the legal studies program.
As our paralegal, Courtney uses her background in banking and her knowledge and understanding of human behavior to help clients through the often daunting and overwhelming discovery process.
Courtney enjoys cooking, restoring her home located in the historic Avondale neighborhood, and spending time with her “fur babies,” Porter and Billie Rose.
JANELLE BRANTON
Janelle Branton became a part of the Sasso and Guerrero family in 2017. She was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. She attended the University of Florida, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics with a minor in teaching English as a Second Language.
After returning to Jacksonville, Janelle attended Florida State College at Jacksonville and obtained her Associates degree in Paralegal Studies. At the time of graduation, she was uncertain which field of law she wanted to pursue. After accepting the position at Sasso and Guerrero, she soon realized her passion for helping others. Working for Molly and Christie played a major role in her determining that working in family law was the perfect fit for her life.
A cornerstone member of the Sasso & Guerrero team, Janelle is responsible for some of the first stitches running through the fabric of the amazing camaraderie of the firm as it has grown. In her spare time, Janelle enjoys spending time with her family and traveling around the country to enjoy beaches. She is a proud mother of a little girl. She has made it a point to strive for her goals, which are nothing less than her grandest dreams.

She has worked in the legal field for almost 20 years and been a paralegal for 15+ years in various areas of the law. However, she believes that family law, where she has been working since 2014, is her true calling.
As dedicated as she is skilled, she enjoys helping others navigate through the emotional process of family law. During her free time, she enjoys spending time traveling with her family and loves music and comedy. She is a proud mom to a fabulous daughter, Kylie, who begins nursing school in January 2025. She is also a crazy cat lady as a mama to a Mainecoon named Misha Stormborn.
STACY JIMENEZ

Stacy has been married for three years to her Husband and she is the proud bonus mom to his daughter. Stacy enjoys spending time with her family and friends, attending Jacksonville Iceman hockey games, anything Disney related, and taking cruises to tropical destinations.
CANDIDA RAVELO
Originally hailing from California, Candida joined Sasso & Guerrero in 2022 in the role of intake specialist, though she’s worn many hats during her tenure with the firm. Coming from a large family inspired her journey in education, where she worked as a teacher, tutor, and sports coach, fostering her passion for helping children.
Now, as a proud mother of a toddler and a newborn daughter, Candida’s personal experiences drive her commitment to supporting families. As intake specialist, she served as a bridge for those seeking help in connecting with an attorney. She has also done a phenomenal job with the firm’s social media presence. Mastering each new role she has taken on, she has recently been promoted to legal assistant, another position in which she’s sure to shine. Outside of work, she enjoys running and cherishing moments with her little ones.
