Hailing from the Chicago-land area, Deanne grew up watching her mother litigate family law cases in her own practice, and then moving on to the judiciary. Her entrepreneur mother modeled the career Deanne wanted to pursue, fueling a passion for family law early in life.
Deanne graduated with Honors from Western Illinois University in 2011, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a minor in Psychology, before moving to Florida where she graduated Cum Laude from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2014.
Deanne has practiced exclusively family law since she began legal practice. Recognized as a Rising Star Super Lawyer in 2022, she has ample experience in handling all aspects of family law cases including divorce, paternity, modifications, child support, domestic violence, temporary custody by extended family member, stepparent adoptions, and contempt matters. Deanne is a member of the Family Law Inns of Court, the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar, the Jacksonville Bar Association, and the Jacksonville Women’s Lawyers Association.
Deanne shows great tenacity in the face of adversity. When Deanne’s artist father became ill in the summer of 2014, Deanne was by his side in hospice until he passed away, just ten days before Deanne took the bar exam. Despite the tremendous trauma and grief she was enduring, Deanne passed the bar exam on her first attempt. Having faced such hardship in her own life, she is a compassionate, skilled, and zealous advocate for her clients, fighting aggressively to pursue their goals. She loves litigating and is committed to mastering her craft in the practice of family law.
In her free time, Deanne enjoys spending time with her husband, traveling, going to the beach, and working out, including Yoga, for which she obtained her 200-hour teaching certificate. Deanne has such a deep love for children and families that she recently decided to expand her own. She and her attorney husband welcome their first child in the summer of 2022.
